Looks like Tony-winning The Book of Mormon composers Trey Parker and Matt Stone are bringing their recent Broadway experiences to their long-running animated series, South Park. The October 26 episode, titled Broadway Bro Down, follows Randy Marsh's newfound appreciation for Broadway musicals.
As previously reported, Parker and Stone's co-composer Robert Lopez is helping pen the episode. The trio began their latest collaboration earlier this week.
A press release from Comedy Central reveals that the episode follows Stan's parents, Sharon and Randy, as Randy makes an effort to do more things Sharon enjoys. After he takes his wife to see a musical in Denver, Randy becomes Broadway's biggest fan, and he whisks Sharon away to New York to see every musical on the Great White Way.
A brief clip from the upcoming episode features Randy and Sharon heading to see the Broadway blockbuster Wicked. Take a look below!
