Complete casting has been announced for Atlantic Theater Company's world premiere production of Happy Hour, three one act plays from Ethan Coen. Directed by Neil Pepe, the production begins performances November 16 at Signature Theatre Company's Peter Norton Space, with opening night set for December 5. The limited engagement runs through December 31.
The cast of Happy Hour will feature Cassie Beck (The Drunken City, Prayer for My Enemy), Aya Cash (The Other Place, From Up Here), Clark Gregg (A Few Good Men), Susan Hyon (Crane Story), Rock Kohli (Private Wars), Gordon MacDonald (Trumbo), Amanda Quaid (Equus), Ana Reeder (Hedda Gabler), Joey Slotnick (Our Town) and Lenny Venito (Curb Your Enthusiasm).
In the three comedies of Happy Hour, an embittered barfly has a theory—or two—about what the world has become, a lonely young man and lonely young woman can’t see how right they are for each other and a business traveler's motel room is so ugly, he wants to end it all.
Happy Hour will feature scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by Sarah Edwards, lighting design by Jason Lyons and sound design by David Van Tieghem.
