Asuncion, a new play written by and starring Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Zombieland) officially opens at off-Broadway's Cherry Lane Theatre on October 27. Directed by Kip Fagan, the production also stars The Hangover's Justin Bartha, Remy Auberjonois and Camille Mana.
Eisenberg stars as Edgar, a socially awkward former college student living with his former T.A (Bartha). Edgar's brother (Auberjonois) shows up unannounced at their dump of an apartment with his new wife, Asuncion (Mana), asking if the pair can harbor his bride for a few days with no questions asked. When Edgar forms a theory that his new sister-in-law might be a sex worker, he begins a hilariously neurotic search to uncover the truth.
