When Robert Lopez teamed up with his Book of Mormon collaborators Trey Parker and Matt Stone on the October 26 episode of South Park, the team decided to take aim at Broadway. Patriarch Randy Marsh makes a shocking discovery about the power of musicals that sends him and his wife Sharon on a trip to New York City to catch as many shows as possible. We won't ruin the hilarious surprise, but plenty of familiar Broadway faces make appearances in the episode including animated versions Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Schwartz and Elton John, as well as productions like Godspell, Anything Goes, Jersey Boys, Spider-Man, The Phantom of the Opera and Wicked. Lopez himself even provided vocals on the episode. "That was kind of a bucket list dream," Lopez told Broadway.com of the experience. Take a look at clips from Broadway Bro Down below!
