Ka-ching! The Mountaintop star Samuel L. Jackson has been named the word's highest grossing actor of all time by the Guinness Book of World Records, according to The New York Daily News. Jackson's films have grossed a combined $7.42 billion during his nearly 30 years in the film industry.
The impressive cash flow is helped by Jackson's participation in many popular film franchises such as the second Star Wars trilogy, Jurassic Park and Iron Man. His many other film credits include Pulp Fiction (for which he earned an Oscar nomination), Unbreakable, Snakes on a Plane, Die Hard: With a Vengence, The Long Kiss Goodnight, A Time to Kill, The Negotiator, The Red Violin, Shaft, Changing Lanes, The Incredibles and Black Snake Moan.
Jackson currently stars as Martin Luther King Jr. opposite Angela Bassett in Katori Hall's The Mountaintop at Broadway's Jacobs Theatre.
