The New Directions team has some fierce competition at McKinley High now that Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany (Heather Morris) have fled Mr. Schuester's choir room to join Mercedes (Amber Riley) in the new student singing group run by Shelby Corcoran (Idina Menzel). When it came time to choose an identity for the all-female vocal group, the ladies selected the ominous name, theTroubletones. From Mr. Schuester's side project Acafellas to Blaine's former crew the Warblers and regional competitors Aural Intensity, the Troubletones join the ever-growing list of competitive singing groups with humorous names featured on the show.
