Broadway veterans Cheyenne Jackson and Ken Jenkins have joined a previously announced untitled USA comedy pilot opposite Tony winner Nathan Lane, according to TVLine.com.
The show follows Jasper (Lane), a down-on-his-luck actor ,who puts his career on hold to move home to Texas to take care of his sick father (Jenkins). Jackson will play the town's handsome doctor who befriends Lane's character.
Jackson's Broadway credits include Finian's Rainbow, Xanadu, All Shook Up, Aida, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. His film and TV credits include 30 Rock, Glee, Curb Your Enthusiasm, United 93 and The Green. Jenkins is best known as Dr. Bob Kelso from TV's long running hit Scrubs. He has appeared on Broadway in Summer and Smoke and Big River. His off-Broadway credits include The Lion in Love and King Lear.
The pilot won't be the first time Jackson and Lane work together. Lane appeared alongside (a nearly naked!) Jackson in a humorous web series during Xanadu's 2008 Tony Awards campaign. Take a look below!
