Hunky triple-threat Hugh Jackman's solo show Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway officially opens at the Broadhurst Theatre on November 10. The musical return of the multitalented Tony-winning star is set to run through January 1, 2011.
Guests expected to attend the opening performance include Kathy Griffin, Anthony Edwards, Rachael Ray, Anna Wintour, Donna Karan, Christie Brinkley, Rob Ashford, Hamish Bowles, Clinton Kelly, Jack O'Brien, Andre Leon Talley, John Varvatos, Robert Verdi and Barry Diller.
Backed by an 18-piece orchestra, Jackman performs what he calls a personal selection of favorite musical numbers reflecting his varied career, including The Boy From Oz on Broadway, Oklahoma! on the London stage and much more. The star has concentrated on movies and stage drama (A Steady Rain) in recent years, but he returned to his musical roots in acclaimed pre-Broadway concert engagements in San Francisco and Toronto.
