They’ve already shown they can steam up a camera lens with their show poster for Bonnie & Clyde, so it’s no surprise to see stars Laura Osnes and Jeremy Jordan heating things up on the pages—and cover!—of Time Out New York. The pair, outfitted as their larger-than-life outlaw characters, smoldered in some of New York’s hottest drinking establishments in the magazine’s Winter Bar issue.
They may look at home in a wood-paneled bar, but Jordan and Osnes admitted to some less than tough-guy traits when it comes to alcohol. Asked how Yankees stack up against Texans (like Jordan and Clyde Barrow) in terms of holding their liquor, the actor replied, “I moved away from Texas when I was 18, so I left before I started drinking. I was a Goody Two-shoes.” For her part, Osnes, who didn’t drink until she was 21, emphasied that Bonnie Parker allows her to tap into a wild side she doesn't possess in real life. “I’ve always played naïve ingenues, and it’s really fun to change it up and be someone completely different,” she said. “This role lets me explore that darker sensual side.”
The pages of Time Out may be the only place you'll catch these Broadway co-stars settling into a bar banquette. “Since [Bonnie & Clyde] is such a vocally demanding show, we don’t tend to drink very much,” Jordan said, adding, “If it’s been a particularly hard day, we’ll go somewhere near the theater that’s quiet.” See this smokin' pair on the pages of Time Out New York, then catch them in action on the stage of the Schoenfeld Theatre!
