It was a starry, starry night on November 11 when Bring It On opened at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. No surprise, considering that the show, adapted from the hit movie of the same name, boasts an impressive list of creators: Tony winning composers Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tom Kitt, Tony winning writer Jeff Whitty, Tony winning director/choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler and Broadway lyricist Amanda Green. They were joined by plenty of TV favorites, like stars from 2 Broke Girls and of course, Glee, who showed up to support this new musical. After the lights came up on this story of competitive high school cheerleading, the show’s fresh-faced stars Taylor Loudermore and Adrienne Warren joined Miranda, their co-stars and more as they swapped their pompoms for the glitz and glam of an opening night celebration.
