The Rockettes Kick Off Another Christmas Spectacular Season as Opening Night Arrives

A New York holiday tradition continues, as The Radio City Christmas Spectacular celebrates its 79th opening night on November 16! The legendary variety show stars the world-famous precision dancing Radio City Rockettes, plus singers, ice skaters, kids, a full orchestra and a show-stopping Living Nativity scene. The holiday engagement runs through January 2, 2012.

The 2011 installment of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular features six new scenes, including a 3-D video-game-themed number in which the Rockettes go head to head with a Christmas villain in front of the world's largest LED screen. Glamorously outfitted in a series of eye-popping costumes, these leggy ladies also perform on a double-decker bus, a sparkly staircase and a snowy forest, enact a lightning-fast version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” and bring perennial favorite “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” to life.
