The Muppets are readying for their big comeback with the November 23 release of a brand new feature film, The Muppets. In honor of everyone's favorite puppet crew, Broadway.com is flashing back to a series of our favorite Broadway Muppet Moments, in which stars of the Great White Way sing showtunes and share jokes with Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzy, Animal and more. Today's clip features Tony winner Linda Lavin, who's currently earning raves in off-Broadway's The Lyons. When Lavin hosted The Muppet Show in 1979, she was starring in the sitcom Alice, set in a diner, so she knew a thing or two about food preparation. On her Muppet Show episode, the Muppets decide to throw a surprise party for Kermit's birthday, complete with a giant chopped liver meal sculpted in his likeness by the Swedish Chef. Take a look below as Lavin (who later appeared in 1984's The Muppets Take Manhattan) lends a helping hand.
