Blood and Gifts, J.T. Rogers’ new play about America’s tangled history in Afghanistan, opens on November 21 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theatre. Directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific), the play is being produced off-Broadway by Lincoln Center Theater.
The ensemble cast of Blood and Gifts includes Jeremy Davidson (Pan Am, Army Wives) Tony winner Jefferson Mays (I Am My Own Wife), Michael Aronov, Robert Hogan, Andres Munar, Rudy Mungaray, J. Blood and Gifts tells the story of the secret spy war behind the official Soviet-Afghan War of the 1980s. Spanning a decade and playing out in Washington DC, Pakistan and Afghanistan, the play follows operatives from America, Britain, Russia, Pakistan and more.
