Watch Katharine McPhee Take on Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful' in New Smash Music Video

American Idol veteran Katharine McPhee is headed to the Great White Way (on TV at least!) in NBC's upcoming Broadway-centric series, Smash. McPhee stars as an aspiring actress hoping to get her big break in a new musical about Marilyn Monroe. As the show nears its February 6, 2012, start date, a new music video featuring McPhee belting the popular Christina Aguilera tune "Beautiful" has surfaced. The clip follows McPhee's character's journey as her parents (Broadway favorites Dylan and Becky Ann Baker) send her off from her hometown to the bright lights of New York City.
