Movie favorite Steve Guttenberg, who is currently starring on Broadway in Relatively Speaking, will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on December 12. Guttenberg’s star, presented by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will be placed in front of the LAPD’s Police Activities League office at 6411 Hollywood Boulevard.
Guttenberg has starred in 52 films, including four successful series: Police Academy, Three Men and a Baby, Short Circuit and Cocoon and their sequels. His films include Diner, The Boys from Brazil and Bedroom Window and the current indie feature A Novel Romance, which he produced. He also wrote, starred in and produced a film adaptation of James Kirkpatrick’s play P.S. Your Cat Is Dead.
In Relatively Speaking, Guttenberg is featured in Woody Allen’s Honeymoon Motel, which centers on a wedding day that goes awry. The Broadway production, featuring comedies by Elaine May and Ethan Coen in addition to the one-act by Allen, opened on October 20, co-starring Ari Graynor, Julie Kavner, Grant Shaud, Mark Linn-Baker and others.
