Tony Award winner Cynthia Nixon is readying to play a brilliant poetry professor facing cancer in Margaret Edson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Wit. The actress, who will shave her head for the role, plays Vivian Bearing, a scholar who devoted her life to academia and must now face the irony and injustice of becoming the subject of research. Nixon and the rest of cast met the press at the Manhattan Theatre Club Rehearsal Studios on December 13.
