Stop the Presses! Newsical The Musical Celebrates Its First Off-Broadway Birthday

The topical off-Broadway revue Newsical The Musical celebrated its first anniversary on December 13. Subtitled "Full Spin Ahead," the show lampoons current events, headlines, celebrities and politicians through sketches and songs that are constantly updated. Composer/lyricist Rick Crom was on hand to mark his show's birthday at the Kirk Theatre on Theatre Row, where he greeted current star (and Forbidden Broadway vet ) Christine Pedi. Congrats to Newsical, which has no end in sight, particularly as election year looms!
