As Steven Spielberg's film adaptation of War Horse readies to gallop into theaters, Saturday Night Live decided to poke a little fun at the Tony-winning stage production on the December 17 episode. In the skit, a couple (Bill Hader and Kirsten Wiig) head to a regional production of War Horse and are eager to take in the show's acclaimed puppetry. However a pre-show announcement is made that the role of Joey, the show's title horse, will instead be played by only one actor, resulting in the evening's host, SNL veteran Jimmy Fallon, trotting out on stage for some ridiculous behavior. Check out the hilarious clip below and be sure to catch War Horse in all its actual glory at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theatre.
