As the curtain goes down on 2011, Broadway.com is looking ahead to the new year. We’ve asked the brightest stars on Broadway to reflect on their personal highlights from the past year and to reveal their hopes for 2012. Check out what they had to say, and have a Happy New Year!
CHRISTOPHER J. HANKE (Bud Frump in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying)
Highlight of 2011: I live in Los Angeles, now, have for a couple of years, doing my TV thing and loving it there. But finding myself back in New York, back in the theater rehearsal space, acting on a big Broadway stage again, has been my knock out moment this year. This is what I love doing. Theater. It fills my soul, makes me discover continuously, and gives me a secret smile. Working with the genius that is Rob Ashford; the multitalented (re: singing, dancing, comedy) actor that is our leader, Dan Radcliffe; and, the comic timing wizard that is John Larroquette, have been my master's degree. All in all, How To Succeed in Business was my 2011 highlight. Either that or the actual highlight I got from Dan, the show's colorist. His work just looks so natural. It's at toss up.
Resolution for 2012: To stop sending fan mail to Daniel Radcliffe and re-purpose that "enthusiasm" towards daily letters to Darren Criss. Wow, I feel better now that I have said that out loud.
Keep checking for more resolutions from your favorite stars.
