Matthew Maguire’s Instinct Gets a Limited Run Off-Broadway

The Creation Production Company's production of Matthew Maguire's Instinct will play off-Broadway at Theatre Row’s Lion Theatre. Directed by Michael Kimmel, the play begins performances on January 13, 2012, with an official opening on January 18. The limited engagement concludes on February 4.

Instinct tells the story of four cohabiting epidemiologists in a race against time. Science gets personal as they fight to contain a potentially devastating outbreak, while trying to keep their relationships from unraveling.

The four-person ensemble will feature Kim Blair, Maggie Bofill, Amirh Vann Rosario and Jeffrey Withers. The creative team includes set and light design by Ben Kato, costume design by Christina Bullard, sound design by Andrew Ingkavet and video design by Aaron Rhyne.

Maguire won an OBIE award for Performance in 1998 and an OBIE Award for Direction in 2007.
