Tickets are now on sale for the Broadway premiere of Marc Camoletti’s French comedy Don’t Dress for Dinner. Presented by the Roundabout Theatre Company, the farce was adapted by Robin Hawdon and will be directed by Tony nominee John Tillinger. Previews begin at the American Airlines Theatre on March 30, 2012, with opening night set for April 26. Casting will be announced shortly.
Don’t Dress for Dinner is the sequel to Boeing-Boeing, which originally opened at Broadway’s Cort Theatre in 1965 and was revived at the Longacre Theatre in May 2008. The French comedy tells the story of Bernard, who makes plans to spend time with his new mistress while his wife is away. When Bernard’s wife hears an old friend is in town, she decides to stay home after all. Add in a chef and two women named Suzy, and Bernard is in for a hilariously uncomfortable dinner party.
