The final performance of Bonnie & Clyde may be set for December 30, but the cunning twosome will live on forever with a cast recording. The album, which will be recorded on January 2, 2012 and released by Broadway Records, will feature co-stars Laura Osnes and Jeremy Jordan, who play Bonnie and Clyde, respectively. A release date has not yet been set.
In addition to Osnes and Jordan, the cast recording will also include Melissa van der Schyff, Claybourne Elder, Joe Hart, Louis Hobson, Talon Ackerman, Rozi Baker, Leslie Becker, Mimi Bessette, Alison Cimmet, Daniel Cooney, Jon Fletcher, Kelsey Fowler, Victor Hernandez, Sean Jenness, Katie Klaus, Michael Lanning, Garrett Long, Matt Lutz, Marissa McGowan, Cassie Okenka, Justin Matthew Sargent, Jack Tartaglia and Tad Wilson.
Set in Depression-era Texas, Bonnie & Clyde tells the tale of two infamous outlaws who fall in love and into a life of crime. The musical features music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black and a book by Ivan Menchell. Bonnie & Clyde will have played 33 previews and 36 regular performances on Broadway at the Schoenfeld Theatre as of its closing.
The Bonnie & Clyde cast album will be produced by Wildhorn, along with John McDaniel and David Lai, and executive produced by Van Dean, Corey Brunish, Howard Kagan and Terry Schnuck.
