Rehearsals have begun for the New York premiere of Leslye Headland's Assistance, and the cast, including Man and Boy's Virginia Kull, American Idiot’s Michael Esper and Tony nominee Bobby Steggert (Ragtime), celebrated at a January 10 press event at Playwrights Horizons. Described as a biting satire, this new comedy, by the author of the 2010 hit Bachelorette, tells the story of young assistants Nick (Esper) and Nora (Kull) and their co-workers, whose lives are an endless series of humiliations at the hands of their horrible boss. Before their first rehearsal, the cast and creative team, including co-stars Sue Jean Kim, Amy Rosoff and Lucas Near-Verbrugghe and director Trip Cullman, lined up for a cute company photo. Be sure to head to the Playwright Horizons beginning February 3 to assist them all in a great off-Broadway run!
