David Henry Hwang's culture clash comedy Chinglish will play its final performance on Sunday, January 29. The critically acclaimed play started performances at Broadway's Longacre Theatre on October 11 and opened on October 27.
Inspired by the mangled mixture of languages born out of cultural collision, Chinglish chronicles the journey of an American businessman who travels to China looking to score a lucrative contact for his family's sign-making firm.
Under the direction of Leigh Silverman, the unlikely love story stars Gary Wilmes stars as the fish-out-of-water businessman, Stephen Pucci as a British expatriate and business consultant and Jennifer Lim as a Chinese official. The cast of Chinglish also features Angela Lin, Christine Lin, Johnny Wu and Larry Zhang.
