Lea Michele, who became a household name for her role as Rachel Berry in Glee, will mentor aspiring Glee stars, according to TVLine.com. Michele will serve as the guest mentor on the season two premiere of The Glee Project, slated to air on the Oxygen network in the summer of 2012.
Four young actors received roles on Glee after competing on the first season of The Glee Project. Winner Damian McGinty and runner-up Lindsay Pearce have already appeared as Rory and Harmony respectively in the third season of Glee. Fellow Glee Project contestants Samuel Larsen and Alex Newell will be featured in multi-episode arcs on the FOX hit later this season.
Several Glee stars acted as mentors in the first season of The Glee Project including Darren Criss, Harry Shum Jr., Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale.
