Altantic Theater Company’s world premiere of Gabe McKinley’s CQ/CX begins previews January 25 at off-Broadway's Peter Norton Space (formerly the home of Signature Theatre Company). Directed by David Leveau, the drama officially opens on February 15 and runs through March 4.
The play stars two-time Tony nominee David Pittu as Junior, Tony nominee Larry Bryggman as Frank King, Peter Jay Fernandez as Gerald Haynes, Tim Hopper as Ben, Arliss Howard as Hal Martin, Kobi Libii as Jay Bennett, Steve Rosen as Jacob Sherman and Sheila Tapia as Monica Soria.
Inspired by McKinley's own experience as a journalist, CQ/CX tells the story of Jay, an up and coming black reporter at The New York Times, who finds his dreams of becoming a famous journalist crashing down as he becomes the center of a plagiarism scandal.
