Broadway vet and pop singer Nick Jonas returns to the Great White Way on January 24 as aspiring businessman J. Pierrepont Finch in the hit revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
In addition to Jonas, Michael Urie of TV’s Ugly Betty joins the cast as Bud Frump. The production also features Beau Bridges, Rose Hemingway, Tammy Blanchard, Rob Bartlett, Mary Faber, Ellen Harvey and Michael Park.
“[My brothers] will be here opening night to support me,” Jonas recently told Broadway.com of his starry siblings Joe and Kevin. “The fact that they’ll both be here means a lot to me.” His message to fans of their hit music group, the Jonas Brothers? “I’m so excited for [you] to see this.”
Jonas has appeared on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun, Les Miserables and Beauty and the Beast. Additionally, Jonas starred in the 25th Anniversary Concert of Les Miserables in London and Hairspray at the Hollywood Bowl. His film and TV credits include Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, Jonas, Last Man Standing and an upcoming guest spot on Smash.
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying opened on March 27, 2011 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and earned eight Tony nominations including Best Revival of a Musical. Featuring a score by Frank Loesser and a book by Abe Burrows, Willie Gilbert and Jack Weinstock, the musical comedy follows J. Pierrepont Finch, a young window washer who uses a how-to book to climb the corporate ladder at the World Wide Wicket Company.
