West End Legally Blonde Sets Closing Date

Legally Blonde will play its final West End performance at the Savoy Theatre on April 7, 2012. The show began previews on December 5, 2009 and officially opened on January 13, 2010.

A musical adaptation of the popular feature film starring Reese Witherspoon as stylish Harvard Law student Elle Woods, the Broadway production of Legally Blonde earned seven 2007 Tony nominations. The London production won big at the 2011 Olivier Awards, taking home honors for Best New Musical, Best Actress in a Musical for original star Sheridan Smith and Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for Jill Halfpenny.

The current London cast of Legally Blonde includes Carley Stenson, Stephen Ashfield, Ben Freeman, Natalie Casey, Peter Davison and Tricia Adele-Turner.

Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, Legally Blonde features music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, book by Heather Hach, set design by David Rockwell, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Paul Miller, sound design by ACME Sound Partners and orchestrations by Christopher Jahnke.
