Tickets are now on sale for the musical Ghost, based on the hit 1990 film starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze. The show’s London headliners Caissie Levy and Richard Fleeshman reprise their roles as Molly and Sam, joined by Bryce Pinkham and Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Carl Bruner and Oda Mae Brown, respectively. The musical, directed by Matthew Warchus, begins preview performances on March 15 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, with opening night set for April 23.
Ghost follows a young couple, Sam and Molly, who get mugged while walking home to their New York apartment one night. Sam is murdered and becomes trapped in this world as a ghost, unable to leave Molly, whom he learns is in grave danger. With the help of a storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, Sam tries to communicate with Molly from beyond in the hope of protecting her.
Ghost features a book by Bruce Joel Rubin (adapted from his screenplay for the hit 1990 film) and a score by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard.
