A musical adaptation of The Great Gatsby, based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel, will gets its world premiere at the King’s Head Theatre in London. Performances begin August 7, with opening night set for August 10. Adapted by Joe Evans and Linnie Reedman and directed by Reedman, the limited engagement will run through September 1. Casting will be announced shortly.

The Great Gatsby Musical will be produced by Ruby in the Dust. Elevator Repair Service's The Great Gatsby-inspired Gatz is also headed to London for a summer run beginning June 8. A highly anticipated 3-D film remake of The Great Gatsby, directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan, also hits theatres Christmas day.
