Broadway’s biggest blockbuster The Book of Mormon celebrates its one-year anniversary of delighting (and shocking) audiences at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on February 24. To mark the occasion, Broadway.com’s resident artist Justin "Squigs" Robertson revisited the hit musical to sketch the all-star team behind the rialto’s hottest ticket. In this fun portrait, Squigs highlights show stars (from left) Michael Potts, Nikki M. James, Andrew Rannells, Josh Gad and Rory O’Malley as well the creative team hard at work below them (from left) Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Robert Lopez and Casey Nicholaw. Don’t let another year go by without seeing The Book of Mormon—get your tickets now!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home. Click to e-mail Squigs. Photo by Matthew Murphy
