Michael Esper will join the cast of the NBC medical drama pilot Do No Harm as Dr. Alex Jordan, according to Deadline.com. Written by David Schulner, the drama also stars previously announced stage and screen favorite Steven Pasquale (Reasons to Be Pretty, TV’s Rescue Me). No filming dates or further casting have been announced.
Do No Harm is the story of neurosurgeon Jeffrey Kohn (Pasquale), who struggles to keep his alter-ego Ian Price under wraps. Kohn grapples with his dangerous other half as Price threatens to destroy his personal relationships and career.
Esper has appeared on Broadway in American Idiot and A Man For All Seasons and currently stars off-Broadway in Assistance. He also appeared off-Broadway in The Lyons, which recently announced a transfer to Broadway’s Cort Theatre this April. Although no official announcement has been made, Esper is expected to take part in the show's Broadway run.
