Tony nominee Marin Ireland will star in season two of the AMC drama The Killing, according to TVLine.com. Ireland will play Liz, the tough sister of Detective Holder (Joel Kinnaman) beginning April 1.
Ireland made her Broadway debut in Reasons to Be Pretty, which earned her a Tony nomination. She has also appeared on Broadway in After Miss Julie and off-Broadway in Maple and Vine, Three Sisters, In the Wake, A Lie of the Mind, The Ruby Sunrise and Manuscript. Her film and TV credits include Homeland, Revolutionary Road and I Am Legend.
Set in Seattle, The Killing chronicles the police investigation surrounding the murder of a young girl, Rosie Larsen. As the detectives follow several leads, three separate storylines intertwine.
