Nominees have been announced for the 2012 Olivier Awards, which will be held at London’s Royal Opera House on April 15, hosted by Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton. Broadway-bound musical Matilda topped the list with 10 nominations. Also among the nominees are Ghost, now previewing on Broadway, and One Man, Two Guvnors, starring nominee James Corden, which will hit the Broadway stage on April 6.
Film stars Kristin Scott Thomas and Jude Law are among the best acting nominees, as are Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller who alternated the leading roles in Frankenstein at the National Theatre.
