Tony Vincent may best be known on The Great White Way for his roles in American Idiot, Rent and Jesus Christ Superstar, but the stage vet is now bringing his killer vocals to the masses as a contestant on NBC’s singing competition The Voice. Before he appears on the “Battle Round” episode on March 26, the Broadway rocker stopped by the Rolling Stone studio to discuss why theater “was the last thing” on his mind when he first moved to New York. Vincent, who previously led the West End musical We Will Rock You, also reveals who should play Freddie Mercury in a “Queen” film and what he would do if he won The Voice. Hint: it will include Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode and the Beatles. Click below to roll with Vincent.
