The company of Broadway’s Porgy and Bess “hooded up” on March 25 in honor of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed African-American teen shot to death in Sanford, Florida, on February 26. As the case continues to draw national attention, the Porgy cast and creative team showed their solidarity by donning hoodies (which Martin was wearing at the time of his death) and posing together on stage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Featured are headliners Audra McDonald, Norm Lewis, David Alan Grier, Joshua Henry and Phillip Boykin (holding a bag of Skittles, found on Martin's body), well as writer Suzan-Lori Parks and press agent and producer Irene Gandy.
