The revival of Porgy and Bess may be tragic onstage, but backstage this company is full of fun and laughs. Broadway.com asked the main mamma of Catfish Row, NaTasha Yvette Williams (Mariah), to give us a look behind the scenes at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Williams’ hysterical guided tour of the “old and small” Broadway house includes a glimpse into David Alan Grier’s “ghetto” dressing room, breaking into Norm Lewis’ dressing room and a visit with Audra McDonald as she gets ready to take the stage. Fans also gain insight into what it’s like working through a protest, the role of a Broadway show's backstage team and why NaTasha needs more stage-door loving.
