The Book of Mormon Tony nominee Josh Gad is in talks to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in the Steve Jobs biofilm Jobs, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Gad would co-star with previously announced star Ashton Kutcher, who will portray Jobs.
Directed by Joshua Michael Stern, Jobs will chronicle the late Jobs’ transformation from Northern California hippie to co-founder of Apple. The film is aiming to begin shooting in Texas in May 2012.
Gad has several other projects in the works including a new animated film Me & My Shadow, the upcoming sex-addict comedy Thanks for Sharing and a new NBC pilot 1600 Penn. Gad wrote, produced and will star as the son of the president (Bill Pullman) on the White House TV comedy. He also appeared in the film Love and Other Drugs and is a frequent correspondent on TV’s The Daily Show.
