Tickets are now available for the world premiere production of Greg Pierce’s Slowgirl. The two-person play, starring Emmy winner Željko Ivanek and Sarah Steele, will begin previews at off-Broadway's Claire Tow Theater on June 4. The production runs through July 15, with an official opening set for June 18.
Slowgirl is the story of Becky (Steele), a teenager who flees to the Costa Rican retreat of her reclusive uncle (Ivanek) to escape the aftermath of a horrific accident. The week they spend together forces them both to confront who they are as well as what it is they are running from.
The LCT3 production marks the first play staged at Lincoln Center’s new Claire Tow Theater. Slowgirl will include set design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Japhy Weideman and sound design by Leah Gelpe.
