Broadway’s brightest stars make waltzing down the red carpet look easy, but it’s tough to stay healthy (and gorgeous!) during awards season while playing a Newsie, the president of Argentina, a psychic or Judy Garland eight times a week. Now that the pre-Tony events are in full swing, even new nominees have become old pros at attending lavish, star-studded and exhausting events. At the 78th annual Drama League Awards, Broadway.com caught up with Tony-nominated headliners and asked them to share their secret weapons for looking and feeling fabulous all season long.
Celia Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher): Raspberry Emergen-C; Wellness Formula (“an immunity booster that I take in the morning”)
Jeremy Jordan (Newsies): Two gallons of water every day
Cristin Milioti (Once): Rescue Remedy; a Pit Bull (“Dogs are every calming.”)
Linda Lavin (The Lyons): 10-inch Giuseppe Zanotti heels
Christian Borle (Peter and the Starcatcher): Han’s Honey Loquat Syrup
Da’Vine Joy Randolph (Ghost): Coconut water and a Glam Squad
Jeremy Shamos (Clybourne Park): Mints
Tracie Bennett (End of the Rainbow): Seven Seas Tonic (“full of vitamin Bs”)
Jessie Mueller (On a Clear Day You Can See Forever): Shoes you can actually walk in; a granola bar

Michael Cerveris (Evita): Yerba Mate (“The Argentine national drink, which also, luckily, has caffeine in it.”)
