Two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone will extend her new cabaret act at 54 Below by another week. LuPone’s show Far Away Places, which was initially scheduled to end on June 16, will now play through June 23. Andrea Martin was set to perform at 54 Below beginning June 20, but she had to postpone her engagement due to illness.
LuPone and her five-piece band will now play June 19, 20, 22 and 23 at 8 PM and June 21, 22 and 23 at 11 PM. Tony nominee Brian d’Arcy James begins performances of his solo show on June 26.
LuPone won Tony Awards for her leading roles in Evita and Gypsy. She received Tony nominations for her work in Sweeney Todd, Anything Goes and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Her other Broadway credits include An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, Noises Off, Master Class, The Old Neighborhood and Oliver!
