Sarah Goldberg will join the cast of Clybourne Park as Betsy and Lindsey on July 17 at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre. Original cast member Annie Parisse will play her final performance July 15. Goldberg received an Oliver Award nomination for playing the dual roles in the London production of Clybourne Park in 2011.
Written by Bruce Norris, Clybourne Park presents a pair of racially charged real estate transactions involving one house in 1959 and 2009. The Broadway production features Crystal A. Dickinson, Brendan Griffin, Damon Gupton, Christina Kirk, Jeremy Shamos and Frank Wood. Pam MacKinnon’s production of Clybourne Park began life off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in 2010, before heading to the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles for a successful run earlier this year. Winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize, Clybourne Park won the 2012 Best Play Tony Award and was recently extended through September 2.
Goldberg, a Broadway.com Fresh Face, recently appeared off-Broadway in Look Back in Anger. Her London stage credits include Apologia and Six Degrees of Separation.
Clybourne Park recently won the 2012 Tony Award for Best Play, and received three aditional nominations including Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play (Shamos), Best Scenic Design of a Play (Daniel Ostling) and Best Direction of a Play (MacKinnon).
