Steven Pasquale Joins Cast of Williamstown's Far From Heaven; GCB's Leslie Bibb Set for Last of the Red Hot Lovers
Casting is complete for the Williamstown Theatre Festival productions of Far From Heaven and Last of the Red Hot Lovers. Steven Pasquale (TV’s Rescue Me and Do No Harm) joins the cast of Far From Heaven as Frank Whitaker, while Leslie Bibb (TV's GCB, Iron Man) will star as Bobbi Michelle in Last of the Red Hot Lovers. Far From Heaven will play the Main Stage from July 19 through July 29, with an opening night on July 21. Last of the Red Hot Lovers will begin performances July 11 at the Nikos Stage, with an opening night on July 12. The production will play a limited engagement through July 22.
Directed by Michael Greif, Far From Heaven is a new musical based on the 2002 Todd Haines film of the same name. Featuring a book by Richard Greenberg and an original score by Scott Frankel and Michael Korie, the production features previously announced star Kelli O’Hara as Cathy Whitaker alongside Alison Fraser as Mona Lauder, JB Adams as Morris Farnsworth, Nancy Anderson as Eleanor Fine, Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Sybil, Brandon Victor Dixon as Raymond Deagan, Sarah Jane Everman as Doreen/Connie/Patti Page, Kate Hamilton as Nancy, Chris Hoch as Stan Fine, Crystal Lucas-Perry as Esther, Preston Martin as Blond Son, Alexa Niziak as Jancie Whitaker, Charlie Plulmmer as David Whitaker, Michael James Shaw as Musician/Gus, Mary Stout as Mrs. Leacock and Tony Yazbeck as Dick Dawson.
The creative team for Far From Heaven includes scenic designer Allen Moyer, costume designer Catherine Zuber, lighting designer Kenneth Posner, sound designer Nevin Steinberg and projection designer Peter Nigrini, with orchestrations by Bruce Coughlin and music direction by Larry Yurman.
Directed by Jessica Stone, Last of the Red Hot Lovers is Neil Simon's classic play about a middle-aged restaurant manager who hopes for one afternoon of passion, and winds up spending three afternoons with three different women. In addition to Bibb, Last of the Red Hot Lovers stars the previously announced Brooks Ashmanskas, Susie Essman and Heidi Schreck.
