Patti LuPone has canceled the remainder of her concert engagement at new cabaret venue 54 Below. Her new show, Far Away Places, had been scheduled to run through June 23. LuPone was playing a run that had already extended past its initial June 16 end date.
Tony nominee Brian d’Arcy James begins performances of his solo show at the venue on June 26. Jackie Hoffman, Justin Vivian Bond, Ben Vereen and Rebecca Luker are also scheduled to play 54 Below in the coming weeks.
LuPone won Tony Awards for Evita and Gypsy. She received Tony nominations for her work in Sweeney Todd, Anything Goes and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Her other Broadway credits include An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, Noises Off, Master Class, The Old Neighborhood and Oliver!
