The Addams Family's Krysta Rodriguez Joins Smash Cast; Leslie Odom Jr. Becomes Series Regular

Krysta Rodriguez will join the cast of NBC's Smash when the Broadway-themed series returns for its second season in 2013, according to Deadline.com. Current cast member Leslie Odom Jr. will also become a series regular when the series returns.

Rodriguez will play Ana, the roommate of newly single lead character Karen (Katharine McPhee). Odom Jr appeared in 12 episodes of the series' first season as Sam, a chorus member who also served as a love interest for Tom (Christian Borle).

Rodriguez starred as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family opposite current Smash cast member Wesley Taylor. Her other Broadway credits include Spring Awakening, In the Heights and Good Vibrations. Odom Jr. made his Broadway debut this spring in Leap of Faith. His film and TV credits include Red Tails, House of Lies and Grey's Anatomy.

Also set to joint the cast of Smash for the second season are Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan and Carrie veteran Andy Mientus.
