Tickets on Sale For Sam Shepard’s New Play Heartless, Starring Gary Cole

Tickets are now on sale for the world premiere of Heartless, a new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Sam Shepard. The Signature Theatre Company production begins previews August 7, with an official opening night set for August 27. Directed by Daniel Aukin, Heartless stars Gary Cole (Office Space) and Julianne Nicholson (Kinsey). The production will play a limited engagement through September 16 at off-Broadway’s Irene Diamond Stage.

In addition to Cole as Roscoe and Nicholson as Sally, Heartless stars two-time Tony nominee Lois Smith as Mable, Jenny Bacon as Lucy and Betty Gilpin as Elizabeth. Heartless is the story of Sally (Nicholson) and her mysterious family, who live in a cavernous home overlooking Los Angeles. When a visitor arrives, Sally’s dark secrets—and the secrets of those around her—threaten to come into the light.

The Heartless creative team includes scenic designer Eugene Lee, costume designer Kaye Voyce, lighting designer Tyler Micoleau and sound designer Eric Shimelonis.
