Grant Gustin, who played Dalton Academy Warbler Sebastian Smythe in season four of Glee, will make his movie debut in the upcoming indie flick Affluenza, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, Affluenza is set in the wealthy Long Island suburb of Great Neck, during the summer before the financial crisis of 2008. Gustin will star as Todd, a preppy jock from a wealthy family. The film features a script by Antonio Macia, and Kevin Asch directs.
Before taking his musical talents to TV, Gustin played the role of Baby John in a national tour of West Side Story. He will also appear in the upcoming Lifetime original movie A Mother's Nightmare.
