New York theater favorite Bill Heck has landed a recurring role on the upcoming CBS drama Elementary, according to Deadline.com. The show is a modern day Sherlock Holmes reboot, and stars Broadway veterans Jonny Lee Miller (as the legendary detective) and Lucy Liu (as his sidekick, rechristened Joan Watson in this interpretation). Heck will plat Ty, an old friend of Joan’s and an up-and-comer in the New York District Attorney’s office.
Heck starred as Joe Pitt in the 2010 off-Broadway revival of Angels in America. His other off-Broadway credits include The Orphans’ Home Cycle, The Merchant of Venice and The Winter’s Tale. On the small screen, he has appeared on Pan Am, Person of Interest, The Big C, The Closer and more.
Elementary premieres on Thursday, September 27 at 10 PM.
