Memphis composer David Bryan knows how to give back: The Bon Jovi rocker and Tony Award winner donated a Steinway grand piano to the State Department in Washington, DC in a gala ceremony held on July 23. On hand to accept this generous gift was Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who introduced special performances by Broadway's Kevin Massey (singing “Music of My Soul”) and Dan’yelle Williamson (singing “Colored Woman”), plus Bryan singing “Memphis Lives in Me” and Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive.” Broadway.com will post more photos from this exciting event on July 25, but for now, enjoy this Hot Shot of Memphis at the State Department!
