Set designer David Korins has created many worlds on stage from the foreign architecture of Chinglish, the sports arenas in Bring It On and Magic/Bird and the wacky playhouse of The Pee-Wee Herman Show. This October, Korins will bring Broadway audiences at the Palace Theatre back to Great Depression era New York as the title orphan of Annie moves from living in “Lower East Side grit” to Daddy Warbuck’s “fabulous palace” uptown. In the video below, Korins discusses his inspirations and shows off models for the set design of the upcoming revival. Check out the world of Broadway’s Annie, and don’t wait until “tomorrow” to snag your tickets to this highly anticipated revival.
